Existen dos áreas en el diseño de los inyectores que son de interés para los técnicos y entusiastas, el patrón de atomizado y la resistencia a la obstrucción.</p><p>Los tipos populares de inyectores desarrollados por Robert Bosch logran el abanico de atomizado usando una combinación de aguja y orificio o una serie de orificios calibrados hechos en diferentes ángulos. En ambos diseños, el combustible es forzado a traves de estos orificios para crear un atomizado en forma de abanico.</p>								</div>
